Hey! Since I have the time now, I shall now share with you guys, as promised in my previous post on The Great Eastern Women's Run, my visit to a cafe on that day!
So, have you guys guessed which cafe Mindy and I visited after our race?

After our run the other day, we actually decided to head down to this cafe which can be found around the Haji Lane area. No regrets though, I enjoyed my time spent there with my babe. (Click here for my post on the Great Eastern Women's Run)
Well I wouldn't say it was exactly difficult to locate the cafe, nor was it very easy. After all, there were so many shops along the same street that it was pretty hard for us to spot a sign that says "working title". But yes we still managed to find the cafe, although it took us some time because we entered via the wrong street.
Working Title is located somewhere near Arab Street & Haji Lane, which you can simply walk from Bugis MRT Station. (Exit the station using the exit leading to Raffles Hospital). From the exit, walk towards Raffles Hospital and simply follow a map. It isn't that difficult to follow the route, really.
When we arrived at the entrance of Working Title... Honestly I thought that it was a pub or bar because the main dining area was so dimly lit. However, I liked the atmosphere the interior of the cafe gave off because it felt pretty calm and peaceful. Not to forget that the cafe gave off a vintage feeling to customers like us. What was even more surprising to Mindy and I was that on that day, the cafe was so empty when we arrived. Nope, it wasn't early in the morning or non-peak hours, it was actually 12pm plus in the noon. Therefore, we kinda expected the cafe to be somewhat or really crowded, but it wasn't!! And usually at such timings, cafes would be overcrowded with customers or basically, full house.
As we entered, we actually noticed this brightly lit area at the back of the cafe. It's more of like a cozy corner I'd say. With natural lighting from the sun, it definitely made us feel right at home and comfortable in there. Most importantly, the walls had creative wallpapers and the furniture placed there were really attractive. There was even a string-less guitar, how cute! Every table had this little vase with flowers, but of course some were actually dead flowers. It would have been better if they kept changing them or took care of them so as to keep them fresh and more attractive looking. So I'm sorry to say that I will actually minus some points because of that. However, no big deal! Right? :)
Here are some of the photos I captured. I didn't manage to take photos of the main dining area and the area outside the cafe though.

This is how the "ceiling" looks like.

And yes below is a picture of the menu. I kinda love it!!! It looks so antique.

We took some time taking photos of the area because it was so lovely. And finally Mindy suggested that we place our orders first. It was pretty hard for us to decide what we should eat because there were so many varieties at working title. At last, we decided to order ourselves a main course each, and a side along with a dessert to share. Initially, we were contemplating between the chicken wings and hash brown.. However, after Mindy did some research on instagram, we felt that the chix wings were such a small portion and felt that it wasn't worth the price as compared to the hash browns. There you go, obviously we ordered the hash browns. As for dessert.. Scroll on down and continue reading!
I guess, to most of us the best part during a cafe visit is when the food comes right? :) And typically, we'd start snapping photos of the food for 10 minutes or so before we start eating.. Oh well, of course I'm one of them and so is Mindy. Hey, taking photos is one of the most enjoyable thing to do ever. I can never snap enough pictures!! As usual all photos were taken using my phone's camera.

I can't remember the exact name of this side dish, but all I know is that they are real tasty hashbrowns which cost $8.90. Take a look at the portion, it's definitely worth 3 to 4 persons' servings. Both of us had a really hard time finishing everything that we had exactly 9 pieces left over as we decided not to finish them. Reason being: FATS. We are girls so... I guess it was one of our worries and we were so full after our main course. It's definitely unhealthy to shove food down your throat forcefully when your stomach is about to explode. As much as we feel bad about wasting the food, I would say that this side dish is very worth the price and definitely worth trying. However eating too much definitely will give you all the... Fats. Simply browse through the menu when you are at working title & read the descriptions of the food item. "Hash browns & $8.90" are the keywords to locating this food item on the menu!

Mmmmm, the mains were not bad. Not sure about Mindy's but hers was pretty good as I tried a little. Again I didn't take notice or put in the effort to remember the name of the food so I'm sorry :( Her mains cost about $10.90. I'd say that the sausage and potato pancake were really good. But at the same time I have to tell you the truth that the potato pancake might be a little too oily for three pieces in a pan. Nevertheless, thumbs up! As for my mains, to be honest I dont think I enjoyed it that much because the toasts were a little too dry. To add on, the Tuna might be a little dry too. What I loved about it in contrast, was the spicy taste from the tuna. It isn't exactly spicy, to me it wasn't at all.. But I guess it did add some flavour to the food. In this set, a small portion of chips is being served too. Some of you might think that the chips are referring to french fries but they are actually the kind of chips you dip into nacho cheese. On the whole I guess the food was pretty much... Too dry? It cost $8.90 if I remembered it correctly. But honestly I wouldn't recommend the main course I had. However, I would still say that the food served at Working Title are still acceptable anyway.

잘 먹겠습니다!

As you might already know, I'm a tea/coffee person. Since I had a lot of feels for a pot of tea that day, I decided to order the Rose with French Vanilla tea. I guess the reason why I got tempted to try out this tea was because it's rosy, and there's french vanilla in it. Who doesn't love vanilla? Hehe. Fortunately, the tea was so fragrant and it feels really refreshing to drink tea while you're having such oily food. Tea is best when it comes to cleansing the oil intake in your body. However what disappointed me when the pot of tea came was that... The teapot and cups were not like what I expected them to be. Who knew that in such a vintage-style cafe, who knew that when the pans and serving plates they used were pretty unique, they actually used such a simple metal kettle pot and simple cups? Well I guess simplicity is the best which I agree so, but it would have been better if their tea pots were slightly more attractive. It would have been so pleasant looking!!! Nevertheless, this pot of tea which cost $6 was worth the buy. With that being said, it is worth sharing between 2 to 3 persons. I could refill our teacups each about 3 to 4 times.

Did you eat well my dear girl? :)
So, what comes after that?
It wasn't dessert. It was us trying our best to finish the hashbrowns we still have left in the pan. We ended up taking a long time trying to shove everything down our throats, just chilling around and so on. Then there's me, occasionally snapping random photos and being retarded & excited all by myself.

Weeeee I love ripped jeans. What about you?

When we finally decided that we couldn't finish the hashbrowns, we asked for our dessert to be served. We tried the Red velvet with Salted Caramel Sauce (or something like that) which cost us $7.50, if I remembered it correctly.

Tea goes so well with desserts like this. I know I took photos like I've never seen a cake before, but it's just me who love to explore different angles and ways of taking photos so please pardon me.
When we were done eating... Back to chilling and... Doing what we're best at.

Selfie time yay.
Our total bill cost us about $40 to $42, Well I suppose it wasn't that bad.
Working Title sure is a nice place to chill at with your friends. Because it's quiet, you don't feel stressed in having to eat quickly and leave straight away. Unlike Lola's Cafe (which Mindy and I visited about a month ago, I'll blog about it soon), at Lola's you feel pressured to sit there after you finish your meal because there is always a queue outside especially during peak hours. At Working Title it's so much different because it is definitely less crowded. What's more? They provide WiFi and customers are allowed to study and use their laptops in the cafe! So why not choose Working Title to work hard at? It may not be the best cafe because I'm sure everyone has their own opinions and suggestions. However, do check out this cozy little cafe!
Now moving on, Haji Lane is a place you should never miss out when you drop by the cafes around the streets there. Who says Singapore has got no street art? At Haji Lane, there is Graffiti too! Most tourists enjoy walking down this simple street with graffiti art on the walls. It is definitely a popular place to take photos and of course, your OOTDs (outfit of the day) as well!

So the last section of our date will always be photo taking sessions. I swear it's how we spend time with each other. We could take up to 1000 plus photos for 2 hours. Phototaking sessions are so fun don't you agree? ;) #brandygoesdating
Yes that's a hashtag we created for ourselves during our first date. And we have now decided to visit a cafe once every month. This probably means that my blog will be filled with loads of photos, which I suppose it's a good thing.
(Now, feel free to skip this long section filled with my own photos, and other photos of Mindy at the end. In advance, goodbye whoever you are & thank you for reading! If you enjoy reading my blog posts, feel free to share my blog link or post to others on your social media or simply recommend it on google, so that others may get to enjoy too!)

Sigh my chubby cheeks :( Sometimes it's really love-hate for this genes. OH WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLL but i still love it.

Thank you for reading!! Goodbye.
